Welcome to Gateway Barbers.

I’m not the cheapest barber — and that’s on purpose. I have years of experience, I know my craft and I respect my trade.
I like getting the details right, and making sure your hair still looks good weeks later.
A calm and easy place. No rushing. No conveyor belt. No awkward energy.
If you just want in and out as fast as possible, I might not be your person.
But if you want a barber you can relax with and stick with long-term — you’ll feel at home here.

BARBER

Hello! I'm Laura and I'm a second generation barber. I  was originally trained by my dad at the tender age of 14 to save my brothers having to go to his shop for their haircuts. Having been in the industry as a professional since 1998, I still regularly attend seminars, trade shows and training events. Every day is a school day and there is always something new to learn.

My passion and pride in my industry and work is evident in me becoming a State Registered Senior Barber and member of the British Master Barber Alliance. My standards of cleanliness and hygiene are high and I would love to see the industry become regulated properly. I have  also completed The Lions Barber Collective BarberTalk training to help any of my customers with mental health issues. I am here to listen, talk to and have a laugh with any and all of my customers at any time. Being a barber is so much more than just cutting hair.
